ABSTRACT From the perspective of the use of sweet potato branches for animal feed, there is a lack of information on the influence of this action on hay quality. Therefore, the objective was to study the association of sweet potato yield attributes with chemical-bromatological characteristics of hay. Ten sweet potato clones were evaluated, conducted in randomized blocks with five replications. Green and dry mass yield, dry mass content, leaf and stem ratio, total and commercial root yield, and chemical and bromatological characteristics of hay from the branches were determined. ABSTRACT Correlations and path analysis between characteristics can aid the selection of important attributes in breeding programs. Thus, the objective of this work was to perform genotypic, phenotypic correlations and path analysis under commercial yield of garlic bulbs, depending on morphological and agronomic variables. The experiment was carried out in 2017 at the Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri and Universidade Federal de Lavras, using ten garlic genotypes, eight trials and two commercial cultivars, Caçador and Jonas. RESUMO O morango é um produto muito apreciado pelos consumidores devido às características organolépticas. Porém, os frutos do morangueiro são altamente perecíveis depois de colhidos, sendo necessário adotar medidas alternativas para prolongar o período de conservação dos frutos. O trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar a conservação pós-colheita de frutos de cultivares de morangueiro em diferentes condições de armazenamento. ABSTRACT The estimation of repeatability coefficient provides support to define the number and the appropriate period of genotype evaluations, obtaining better success in breeding programs, in order to lower labor costs. Therefore, knowing repeatability and heritability parameters is relevant. Thus, the aim of this study was to estimate the repeatability and heritability coefficients and accurately determine the number of measurements.
